Student Guidelines, Discipline Policies & Code of Conduct

1. Attendance Policy

All student absences must be submitted in writing before the absence occurs or by the first period of the school day. Notes require approval from the Vice Principal.

Excused Absences

  • Personal illness – Physician verification may be required.
  • Medical appointments – Should be scheduled after school hours when possible.
  • Serious illness or death in immediate or extended family.
  • Parental permission absences must not conflict with examination schedules.
  • Short-term suspensions are considered excused absences; assigned work must be completed.

2. Leaving Campus Early

Students may not leave the campus without official clearance. A written note is required for an exit slip, or a parent must sign out the student in person.

3. Punctuality Policy

Students must arrive before morning assembly and be prepared for class. Repeated tardiness may result in disciplinary action.

4. Student Behaviour & Conduct

Cooperation: Students must follow all instructions given by school personnel.

Disruptive Behaviour: Any action interfering with the educational process may result in suspension.

Restricted Items

  • Electronic devices (gaming devices, laser gadgets, etc.)
  • Cell phones – strictly prohibited
  • Tobacco or drugs – zero tolerance policy
  • Weapons or harmful objects – strictly forbidden

5. School Bus Rules

Students remain under school authority while using school transportation.

Bus Conduct Guidelines

  • No extending hands or head outside the bus.
  • No loud talking or horseplay.
  • No damage to bus property.
  • Remain seated while the bus is moving.
  • No throwing objects from windows.
  • No smoking, eating, or drinking.

6. Anti-Bullying Policy

Bullying in any form—verbal, emotional, or physical—is strictly prohibited. Retaliation against reporting individuals will result in disciplinary action.

7. Academic Integrity & Cheating Policy

Students caught cheating will receive a zero on the assignment. Parents will be notified, and repeated violations may result in suspension.

8. After School Detention Policy

Detentions begin at 2:20 p.m. Students must arrange transportation. Repeated detentions may lead to suspension.

9. Disciplinary Warnings

Students receive verbal and written warnings before stricter disciplinary measures are taken.

10. Damage to School Property

Students are financially responsible for any damage caused to school property.

11. Graffiti Policy

Graffiti is strictly prohibited and may result in fines or expulsion.
