ICAS Office of Career Guidance and Counseling provides holistic services to students in helping them achieve their career goals. As a teenager, every student has a story, a set of challenges and achievements they can write about. Counseling involves making the best use of students’ academic strengths and talents. Career guidance begins early when the students are in grade 8th so they can be guided on how to build their extracurricular profiles.
Apart from career guidance and counseling, the office provides the following services to students of ICAS.
- Guidance on subject selection
- Choosing the right study destination and program
- Career assessment
- Extracurricular profile management
- University applications guidance
- Summer school applications
- Resume writing
- Interview skills preparation
- SAT and ACT guidance
Career Counseling is done individually and in group sessions according to the need. Sessions are also arranged for parents to address their queries regarding university applications and their child’s academic performance. Online and in-person sessions and workshops ensure students acquire the required skills necessary for them to survive in their educational and professional careers.
Students at ICAS have been placed at renowned universities internationally and locally. These include the University of Pennsylvania, TUFTS, Georgetown, METU, MICA, AGHA KHAN University, LUMS and many others. The school has conducted multiple international academic & counseling tours with the students; the most recent one was at Northwestern University Campus in Doha, Qatar.
We, at the Office of Career Guidance and Counseling, continue to grow our list of partners around the globe to find learning opportunities for students of ICAS.
